The President's DNA Initiative, Advancing Justice Through DNA Technology, calls for $232.6 million in Federal funding for FY 2004. This includes $100.7 million in new funding. In addition, as part of the $232.6 million, the Justice Department is targeting $13.5 million in FY 2004 funding from existing programs within the Office of Justice Programs to support the DNA Initiative.1
